Childhood Tuberculosis (TB) is a public health problem of a not-well-known magnitude. The World Health Organization estimates that 1 million children got TB and 233,000 died from this disease in 2017, these are alarming figures as we are talking about a preventable, treatable and curable disease.
TB in children has some peculiarities. The age at which the infection occurs and the immune status are the two more important factors determining the disease.
