Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • I accept that shipments that do not comply with these instructions are returned to the author.
  • Articles for health care professionals of the Portuguese Health Service, will be reviewed by the General Directorate of Health of Portugal (DGS), in compliance with their standards.

Author Guidelines

 Authors need to register in the magazine to be able to send or, if they are already registered, they can simply identify themselves and start the 5-step process.

 

Journal of Childhood and Health (RINSAD) publishes articles on topics related to teaching and / or divulgation in the area of health sciences. Their content must be original, unpublished and not being considered for publication by another publishing entity.

 We admit articles written in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

 RINSAD is an open access, non-profit publication that defends access to knowledge in a universal, free and sustainable way. This is a publication that works at “zero cost” with distributed efforts, among authors, editors, reviewers, technicians, the publishing institution itself, etc. Consequently, publishing in RINSAD does not entail any economic cost for the authors.

For those articles related to food and nutrition we offer a list of online resources of interest on food and nutrition (Spanish).

 ARTICLES

The articles must be prepared with the text editor Microsoft Word, by sending a file with a .docx extension, for this we include a template (download template (DOCX)) to prepare the articles, it is important to know the APA 6th Edition style to correctly reference the bibliography. Tools like Mendeley or Zotero facilitate the use of references and citations through plugins in Microsoft Word. It is necessary to highlight the importance of sticking to the style, thus facilitating the process of editing and layout of the proposal.

KEYWORDS

 Keywords, also known as descriptors, are the main article search information, they can be terms composed of one or more words.

All scientific articles must have at least 3 keywords that describe the written article, in English and in the language's article.

The selected words must be contained in at least one of the reference institutions used in the health investigations: Medical Subject Headings (MESH) y Descriptores en Ciencias de la Salud (DECS)

REVISION

Prior to the peer evaluation process, all articles will be subject to a preliminary evaluation to check if they meet the following requirements:

1.- The proposal of an article deals with a theme according to the profile of the magazine.

2.- The proposal contains novel elements regarding what has already been published, meets quality minimums and does not exceed the maximum number of characters in the section to which it is addressed.

3.- The authors have completed at least the following metadata: name, surname, affiliation and e-mail address of all authors, as well as the summary of the article.

4.- The article is made with the template and adheres to the requested layout standards, where the figures and / or drawings with own-created texts must be editable to adapt to different languages.

5.- The manuscript passes the plagiarism and antiplag test to which it will be submitted using a tool designed for this purpose. Those works in whose text a high degree of concordance with other articles in the Network are detected, will be rejected directly.

Privacy Statement

Those authors who have publications with this magazine accept the following terms:

a. The authors can keep their copyright and guarantee the journal the right of first publication of their work, which will be simultaneously subject to the Creative Commons Recognition License that allows third parties to share the work as long as its author is indicated. and its first publication this magazine.

b. Authors may adopt other non-exclusive licensing agreements for the distribution of the published version of the work (eg, deposit it in an institutional telematic file) whenever the initial publication is indicated in this journal.

c. Authors are allowed and advised to disseminate their work through the Internet (eg in institutional telematic files or on their website) once the manuscript is accepted, which can produce interesting exchanges and increase citations of the published work. (See The effect of open access).

The names and email addresses entered in this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes established in it and will not be provided to third parties or for their use for other purposes.
